From Garage Operation to Global Player
Karl Kläger was born in 1925 in Augsburg and grew up in the Göggingen district. In 1949, he laid the foundation for what would later become the Kläger Group. Starting with six small garages, he built a business focused on the production and trade of chemical products for cosmetics, chemicals, and agriculture. Already in the 1950s, the company launched its first “Kläger” brand hand sprayers – a milestone that shaped its future success.
In 1970, the company underwent its first major restructuring: contract filling of aerosol sprays and foams was spun off into the newly founded VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG, while the original Karl Kläger KG has operated as Kläger Plastik GmbH since 1980. With cutting-edge injection molding technologies, a robust tool and mold-making department, and a second production site in Hartha, Saxony, the company evolved into a valued partner for industries such as automotive, electronics, construction, and skilled trades. The company’s own line of professional pressure sprayers and precision components made from high-performance plastics are now in use worldwide.

Karl Kläger passed away in 2001. His son Karlheinz successfully continued to lead the group. Today, his grandson Kristian Kläger serves as CEO of the Kläger Group, alongside André Droescher (CFO) and Achim Windschiegl (COO) who complete the executive board.
With the founding of the start-up terahash.energy GmbH in 2022, Kristian Kläger has brought the family business’s innovative spirit into new industries. The young company offers bitcoin-powered services in the energy infrastructure sector as well as business training and workshops on Bitcoin technology as a long-term store of value.
In 2024, the Kläger Group celebrated its 75th anniversary – a symbol of both resilience and forward-thinking.
