After two years of intensive research and development, Genesis has been realized as a project with the potential to make a lasting impact on the global mining market. The 1-MW data center is powered entirely by renewable energy and features a unique partnership with a Finnish district heating provider. The heat generated by the mining operations is fed into the local district heating network, supplying sustainable heat year-round to a town of approximately 12,000 residents.

A Successful Start – Bitcoin Block Generated
During the pilot phase, terahash.energy GmbH successfully mined a Bitcoin block with its fleet operating in Finland. This historic milestone underscores the company’s innovation and operational excellence: for the first time, a valid block was generated on the Bitcoin network from a data center powered entirely by renewable energy and utilizing heat recovery efficiently.
