The development of the BitcoinForum impressively demonstrates how rapidly interest in Bitcoin is growing in the DACH region: after the first BitcoinForum in 2023 with around 500 participants and the second forum in 2024 with 1,500 visitors at the Ingolstadt City Theater, a new milestone was reached in 2025 with the move to the Saturn Arena, where over 40 companies showcased their Bitcoin products and services.
As co-organizer and partner of the VR Bank, terahash once again played a key role in the event’s success. Our team was responsible for organizing the Energy & Mining section in the Exerzierhalle – and it was a great success: exciting talks and panels on Bitcoin mining took place there, with leading representatives of the German mining industry presenting their innovations and solutions.
Terahash had a large, central booth in the Mining & Energy Hall, where we engaged in numerous insightful conversations with visitors, partners, and industry colleagues. The lively exchange once again demonstrated the tremendous interest in mining, energy efficiency, and sustainable Bitcoin infrastructure.

Terahash was also prominently featured on the main stage. Three of our team members captivated the audience with inspiring presentations:
- Rachel Geyer: “Mining or Shortage – Europe’s Energy Fate” – an impressive analysis of the role of mining in Europe’s energy future.
- Kristian Kläger: “75 Years of Thinking in Generations: Mittelstand goes orange!” – a call to align traditional values of the German Mittelstand with the Bitcoin philosophy.
- Tanja Bächle: “Proof of Work is not just Code – It’s a Mindset” – a passionate appeal for the values behind Bitcoin, complemented by her hands-on Nostr workshop.

In addition to the diverse stage program, the Forum offered numerous workshops and seminars – ranging from beginner sessions to deep technical dives. In the newly opened Donau Tower, visitors could engage directly with experts in a more intimate setting.
The audience was as diverse as the program itself: newcomers, enthusiasts, and industry professionals from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic came together – Bitcoin truly connects across borders. The Les Femmes Orange (LFO) initiative, which promotes Bitcoin education for women, also enriched the event with its own workshops and side events.
With renowned speakers such as Roman Reher, Andreas Streb, Marc Friedrich, Niko Jilch, and many others, the BitcoinForum once again offered a comprehensive program and proved that education, exchange, and innovation form the foundation of a strong Bitcoin community.
